BUSINESS IMPACT

The complete shipping process was streamlined reducing delays in the shipment, operational cost and near-zero the shipment returns. The Order volumes hiked, efficiencies peaked, and delivery schedules are totally predictable!

THE CHALLENGE

To streamline the shipping process that was standing as an inflexible blocker to business growth. To reduce the high cost of delivery and smoothly manage multiple delivery channels.

THE SOLUTION

The end-to-end automation of the shipment process with simple and intuitive interfaces for the end users to configure and manage. The solution had a highly configurable rules engine, where carrier (or 3PL) rules could be captured. Depending on the nature of the shipment, the delivery location and the commercial agreements with different carriers, the shipment is automatically assigned a carrier and the invoice and bar code for the shipment gets printed from the system. We went an extra mile in giving an option to the end user to regionalise the text on the shipment stickers. The system also enables a map based tracking of the shipment and milestone based alerts are provided to the end user on the progress of the shipment.
